SUMMARY:TBA TALKS
DESCRIPTION:The panel\, organized in partnership with Turkey Belgium Friendship and Culture Association and Bilkent Union\, will focus on Belgium’s presidency of the Council of the EU and the College of Europe application process. During the panel\, Belgium’s Ambassador to Ankara Paul Huynen will discuss the Belgian presidency of the Council of the EU and Belgium’s priorities\, while College of Europe alumnus Uğur Akpınar will talk about the College of Europe application process. Dr. Tuğba Bayar from the IR department will deliver the keynote speech and discuss Turkey-Belgium relations in the context of the EU.\nThis panel will provide students with the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience on important issues through the Ambassador of the subject country and an academic. They will also have the opportunity to get detailed information about postgraduate education at the College of Europe\, which trains the well-equipped EU experts and future Turkish Eurocrats that our country needs in line with the goal of full membership to the European Union.
